Niue seems to burst out of the deep Pacific Ocean and the island’s shelf sharply drops off within a hundred metres from dry land in places, so you don’t have to travel far to be in very, very deep water.

    Located in the village of Tuapa, this guided 2 hour guided tour shows visitors around a vanilla plantation and highlights some of the many uses of the plant. The plant flowers between the months of May – August and being able to view the flowers being pollinated by hand makes for a worthwhile trip. The tour will also include an over view of the harvest shed where the vanilla beans are processed. Light refreshment is provided

  • Noni Farm

    Noni Farm

    Located on the southern side of the island just past the village of Vaiea it was originally cleared for a dairy farm, since then it has been used as both a passion fruit farm and a quarantine station, then finally converted into a Noni farm in late 2004. The farm now has 18,000 noni trees and exports products to New Zealand and Asian markets. Enquire at the Visitor’s Information Centre for opening hours and tours.

  • Toamana Orientation Tour

    Toamana’s orientation tour will introduce the first time traveler to the Island and bring repeat visitor up to date on some of the exiciting things to see and do in Niue.  As you start the tour you will drive through the main village of Alofi, stopping off at strategic locations and finally ending up at the Matapa Chasm for a swim before returning to your accommodation. The tour usually takes place on a Saturday morning and is approximately 3 hours. A minimum of six is required.
