Alofi has one gym and others have opened in Lakepa and Avatele. Visitors are welcome to join in with local sports events. These include ‘ta kilikiki’ (traditional cricket), volleyball, netball, rugby, rugby league, touch rugby and golf. Enquire at the Visitor’s Information Centre or email info@niueisland.com for venues.
The Niue Golf and Sports Club (or Top Club as it is known locally) welcomes visitors and has a well-stocked bar. There is a 1pm tee off time for Saturday golf and after golf is a great time to mix and mingle with the locals.
